Welcome

Thank you for choosing BassLine Music! My goal is to provide every student with a fun, encouraging, and structured musical education. These policies help the studio run smoothly while ensuring every student receives the best possible instruction.

Tuition

Lessons: August 17, 2026 – June 4, 2027

Your monthly tuition reserves a regular weekly lesson time throughout the school year. The number of lessons in any given month may vary because of holidays and the school calendar.

Weekly Tuition

  • 30-Minute Weekly Lesson — $240/month
  • 60-Minute Weekly Lesson — $480/month

Flex Lessons

  • 60-Minute Lesson — $140

Scheduled as availability permits and does not reserve a recurring weekly lesson time.

Prorated Tuition

Because the school year begins and ends mid-month, tuition is prorated as follows:

  • August — ½ tuition
  • June — ¼ tuition

Payment

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month, except August, when tuition is due on the first day of lessons (August 17).

Withdrawal

Written notice must be received by the 15th of the month to discontinue lessons before the following month's tuition is due.

Studio Calendar

The teaching schedule generally follows the Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) calendar. Students from other school districts or private schools should note that the studio does not observe all school calendars.

Scheduled Studio Closures

  • September 7 — Labor Day
  • October 29 – November 2 — Studio Closed (tuition will be prorated accordingly)
  • November 23 – 27 — Thanksgiving Break
  • December 21 – January 1 — Winter Break
  • April 5 – 9 — Spring Break

Tentative Performance Schedule (all recital and concert dates are tentative and subject to change)

  • Saturday, December 12 — Piano Recital
  • Saturday, February 20 — Rock Concert
  • Friday, June 4 — Piano Recital
  • Saturday, June 5 — Rock Concert

Missed Lessons

Please let me know as early as possible if you know you will miss a lesson. If another lesson time becomes available that week due to a cancellation, I will gladly offer it if possible.

Studio Make-Up Days

Sunday make-up days are available for one missed lesson per semester.

  • Sunday, December 13
  • Sunday, May 2

These options represent the studio's opportunities for making up missed lessons. If a make-up cannot be accommodated during the same week or on a designated Sunday make-up day, the lesson will be forfeited.

If I must cancel a lesson, a make-up lesson or tuition credit will be provided.

Illness

Students who are ill should remain home.

If a student is unable to attend in person due to illness, an online lesson is available during the student's regularly scheduled lesson time.

Performance Opportunities

Students are encouraged to participate in studio performances throughout the year.

As concerts approach, regular lesson times may occasionally become ensemble rehearsals or shared rehearsal sessions. Additional rehearsals may also be scheduled as needed.

Performance Fees

Piano Recital — $40

Helps cover recital planning, preparation, administration, and production of the performance.

Rock Concert — $100

Helps cover additional rehearsals, venue expenses, professional sound engineering, equipment transportation and setup, and other production costs associated with the performance.

Thank you for being a part of BassLine Music. I look forward to another great year of making music together!
